Our Ski Instructor Course in Verbier runs all season. It mixes training, shadowing, and employment opportunities.
During the course, you’ll get accommodation for the season. You’ll gain your BASI level 1 and 2 ski instructor qualifications which are recognized worldwide. You’ll get over 180 hours of training from our world-class coaches. And you’ll get the chance to work at New Generation Ski and Snowboard School. And all of this takes place in the heart of Switzerland’s most famous resort.
You’ll aim to pass your level 1 exam before Christmas. Then, you can shadow or work during the festive season. Then, in January, we’ll prepare for the level 2 exam in February. It’s just before the busy high season from mid-February to early March. With all this training, you’ll be ready to shadow and work during the peak season. There’s more training on GS racing, freestyle, touring, and avalanche safety in March. Your avalanche safety training covers prevention, conditions, and rescue drills.

The Swiss Alps offer some of the best skiing in the world, both on and off-piste. This is most obvious in the 4 Vallées ski resort, famous for its amazing off-piste terrain. It isn’t a coincidence that it has hosted the Freeride World Tour finals for years.
It’s one of the best places to learn from experienced instructors. It’s also a great place to start your ski instructor career. You typically earn 10-25 CHF an hour as a newly qualified ski instructor.
During the season, you’ll stay with other New Generation team members in a shared house with kitchen facilities. The house is in Le Châble, a short Gondola ride from Verbier. Le Châble has a great community of international ski instructors. Our instructors know the best local spots in the resort. On days off, a few of them often explore the resort together.
We’re famous for educating skilled, energetic, and highly motivated instructors. The most important thing for you is to be positive, outgoing, and adventurous. You must also be ready to work hard as a part of the New Generation team.

At this stage in the course, you’ll be able to really start testing your skills. As you explore new terrain, you’ll be under the guidance of your coach to help keep you safe. On top of honing your skiing skills, you’ll also be training to be patient and effective teachers.

In Week 8 we’ll begin honing your turns and movements to perfection across all terrains. At this stage, you’ll begin to ski with unmatched consistency, no matter the challenge. You’ll gear up for the big day and get ready to shine in the BASI L2 exam.

Under the watchful eyes of a BASI trainer, you’ll navigate both technical and teaching assignments. Every input, turn, and instruction you give will be observed so your trainer can provide constructive feedback, celebrating your strengths and pinpointing growth areas.

Chalet Casse Noix in Verbier is designed to be the perfect retreat after a day on the slopes.
Each of the five twin rooms comes with an ensuite. The chalet has modern appliances. These include a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. The kitchen has all you need to cook and share meals on the chalet hosts' day off. The ski room has boot heaters to keep your gear ready.
You'll start your mornings with a hearty breakfast five days a week. And, you'll unwind in the evenings with a two-course meal, also five days a week.
The chalet is 100 meters from the nearest bus stop. It offers easy access to the centre of Meribel within minutes. And, when the snow allows, nothing can match the joy of skiing back to your doorstep.
