Verbier Ski Instructor Course

Our Ski Instructor Course in Verbier runs all season. It mixes training, shadowing, and employment opportunities.

During the course, you’ll get accommodation for the season. You’ll gain your BASI level 1 and 2 ski instructor qualifications which are recognized worldwide. You’ll get over 180 hours of training from our world-class coaches. And you’ll get the chance to work at New Generation Ski and Snowboard School. And all of this takes place in the heart of Switzerland’s most famous resort.

You’ll aim to pass your level 1 exam before Christmas. Then, you can shadow or work during the festive season. Then, in January, we’ll prepare for the level 2 exam in February. It’s just before the busy high season from mid-February to early March. With all this training, you’ll be ready to shadow and work during the peak season. There’s more training on GS racing, freestyle, touring, and avalanche safety in March. Your avalanche safety training covers prevention, conditions, and rescue drills.

Essentially, we’ve sorted your whole season. Now, you’re set to start as a ski instructor in Verbier.

Why choose Verbier

The Swiss Alps offer some of the best skiing in the world, both on and off-piste. This is most obvious in the 4 Vallées ski resort, famous for its amazing off-piste terrain. It isn’t a coincidence that it has hosted the Freeride World Tour finals for years.

It’s one of the best places to learn from experienced instructors. It’s also a great place to start your ski instructor career. You typically earn 10-25 CHF an hour as a newly qualified ski instructor.

During the season, you’ll stay with other New Generation team members in a shared house with kitchen facilities. The house is in Le Châble, a short Gondola ride from Verbier. Le Châble has a great community of international ski instructors. Our instructors know the best local spots in the resort. On days off, a few of them often explore the resort together.
